As musicians they opened the venue "Canecão" in Rio de Janeiro, playing in different groups and created a quartet called "Selection Group" that counted on the participation of the singer Fabiola and hired by Philips record company participated in recording studios with important national artists of that time. The Azymuth name was inherited from a composition of Mark Valley soundtrack of the film The Fabulous Fittipaldi. In 1995, signed in London with the label Far Out, where he has recorded more than 10 albums including remixes made by European DJs 4 Hero and Roni Zize. The electronic language that has always been part of the group's music makes Azymuth one of the forerunners of this trend. They make tour annually by Europe and Japan participating in the festival North Sea Jazz and World Port Jazz. Shows in London, the Netherlands, Estonia, Denmark, Greece and Turkey. The group played in every house in the Blue Note, Japan, Italy and the United States. The CD Brazilian Soul, released in 2005 to celebrate 30 years of the group and had a few guests, Roberto Menescal, Emilio Santiago, Fabiola, Leo Gandelmann Marcio Lott, Jackal, Sidinho. Made in 2014 the Garanhuns Winter Festival in Pernambuco, Jazz and Blues Festival Rio das Ostras and Bank Boston, Winter Festival of the Sierra de Ibitipoca. Circuit participated CCBB and Instrumental SESC in Rio and Sao Paulo.
